Denise and I met in first grade at Old Adobe Elementry School. We were friends from the first day! Oh my gosh we always had fun! There are just too many things we did over the years! We were in Campfire Girls together with lots of other friends. Our meeting were held at Vickie Kirsch's home as her mother was our leader! We did crafts and earned badges...  When we were in fourth grade or so, Denise's mother lacy us home while she ran a quick errand. Denise put a record on called Jungle Fever (lots of drums!.  And we began to run all around the house! We would run into eachothers and scream and giggle! What fun!  We had fun in her swimming pool and my real playhouse over the years too. When we went into junior high (Kenilworth) we found that every year we always had at least one class together : P.E.  which we were not interested in or very good at!  In High school the exact same thing happened... Every year we had P.E. together , much to the dismay of our teachers.  We remain friends through school and a few weeks after graduation Denise married the love of her life, Roger De Gray, and I was so prooud to be a bridesmaid. We kept in close touch while. Our kids grew up, getting together a few times each year. About six months prior. To Denise's death she wrote to me (in Hawaii) and told me she had cancer. There was no further treatment to have, she so wanted to live but instead was dying. I flew to California to see her and we visited had lunch and laughed our butts off! I kissed her goodbye, and was soon reunited with her Dad ( and her Father !) in Heaven.  I miss my childhood friend so.  Many times I think of calling her to share a memorie only to remember she has gone ahead.  Denise, I can't wait to see you again, and I hope you have found my wonderful son, Jon, like we discussed: telling him how much I miss and love him.  Thanks sister! Hold a place open for me!

I miss you childhood friend! I miss our phone conversations and your giggle.  It was wonderful to continue to keep in touch throughout the years! I was always so envious of your spotless, nothing out of place... housekeeping!! HA!! You went so soon, it came too fast...I regret not having the means at the time to come see you.  Bet you're still sewing and making beautiful quilts for everyone in Heaven!! xoxo T~
