We would like to remember our neighbors that are not with us any longer. Anita Speigel lived on Fariston Drive. She had a sister Sherri. She is in our thoughts...
i remember one time anita, sherri, and i played truth or dare and i don't remember who ate what but each of us either had to eat dust, a tissue, or a dog treat. we always had good laughs with anita. she was truly a great person!!
I went to school with anita. she was never part of our "in crowd" but will always be part of our extended 2&C family. Although we were not close her passing was a tragedy and really brought home the tenuous nature of life. I know she would never expect a comment like this from me- but I do miss her. She should be here and she is not. It could have been me( or You)! Anita rest in peace. We miss you.
I remember Miss Popolow had a professional hair stylist come to class to demonstrate how to cut hair. We each had to write an essay or news article about the demonstration. I remember that Anita's article included hand drawn pictures of the haircut. Anita's approach was so artistic. It saddens me to think that she, along with some of our other classmates, are not here to share their gifts with us and their families.
I lived across the street from Anita. I remember Mr.J asking that if anyone wanted to play a string instrument, go to the music room after school. I thought, "Cool, I'll learn to play the guitar". Anita and I walked into the room and were handed, of all things, violins! So for a year we played them. I sucked, but she was pretty good. We also used to just sit on our steps and chat sometimes. She had a great laugh. I think of her often, especially when I see her sister Sherrie and her parents.

I was always jealous that Anita and Sheri had their aunt, uncle and cousins, the Teitlemans. right on Walnut Park Drive. Such a beautiful, sweet girl.Janet Lipschutz (Shikoff)

I remember Anita well, and had no idea about her passing on.She was in many of my classes, and like others on our bus to Finletter.
