I was given a "Hall Pass" today at our beloved old school, Finletter. Since many of us have such fond memories of our days there, I thought it would be fun to go back and take some pictures. I have to be honest with you...it was a little strange. I sat on the steps when I first walked in. Afterall, it's been 36 years since the last time I was inside. Much is the same and much has changed, as you will see. I want to say Thank You to Bob and Helene Leno (she is a teacher there) and Helene Levey Stern (she is friends with the current Principal, Joanne Beaver) for setting this up for me. Most importantly, to Joanne, for staying after school and allowing me to do this. I hope you enjoy this trip down Memory Lane.

My first impression as I walked up the steps to the Office on the first floor was, "I cant believe that it's been 35 years since the last time I walked out of this place. 35 years. June 1973"

I reached the First Floor landing and looked down the hallway towards Room 109 at the other end. To my surprise, the hallway wasn't as small as I thought it would be and there are no pictures of any of the past Principals on the walls. It seems brighter than I remembered. The floors are the same diamond-shaped terrazzo and some rooms still have the original wood floors.

The Office is basically the same, except for one thing...no Bench! More on that later.

I went into Room 101 and took a picture of the room and...
