margie lived at 123 e fariston, moved to san francisco for a while, then lived in various locations in and around phila, doing many different unusual jobs.she worked for a magazine,as a guard at head house square, attended x ray tech school, and even drove a cab.
she attended finletter graduating from olney high school alternative program in i think 1974(or was it 73)?
she died in december in 1994. at that time she had a young neice and nephew that she loved dearly, as well as her mother, sister, brother in law,her faithful cats, and her friends.unfortunately margie was only 38 when she died-a life cut too short.

if anyone has any stories or antics that you remember please post them, because i am sure those of us who knew her would love to read them. thank you.

In the late 70's I ran into Margie alot when she was a security guard around Headhouse Square.

One bitter cold, snowy evening, when no one was shopping, she came by the store I was working in to make sure it was open and ask how much longer we would be there.

A few minutes later she ushered in a "special" customer who was grateful to be able to shop in private.

The customer was Stevie Wonder. He was killing time while his manager tried to make other arrangements to transport him as his flight out of Philly was cancelled because of the storm.

What a lovely experience to share with someone from my childhood. We sat as amazed as Children listening to Mr. Wonder tell fascinating stories and playing with him in a most unsual store.

(Pavo Real-sold lifesized paper mache` and brass and copper sculptures of animals.)

Margie, you'll always be in that memory for me.

I remember spending many weekends going to BBG socials with Margie and trying to fit as many of the girls as possible in that 2 seater Mercedes. It was fun pulling up and watching the faces of people as we all unloaded from the car.

I remember Margie very well. We went to Finletter together and spent fun times at her house. I remember I found a black kitten when I went the shore as a child. I bought the kitten home and my mother wouldn't allow me to keep it. I asked Margie if she could take him and she did. Needless to say, I was shocked to see she has passed away. I asked around to see if anyone knew what happened. If anyone knows please, tell me if it's alright. I really was sad when I saw her name posted. Life just isn't fair at times is it? It cut's like a knife to hear of people we knew who's lives have been taken away from us. I will always remember Margie and the brief times we spent in childhood years.

HELLO. I REMEMBER YOU AND MARGIE AS GREAT NEIGHBORS. AS MARGIE WAS YOUNGER THAN I, I ALWAYS THOUGHT OF HER AS AN ADORABLE LITTLE GIRL. SHE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE ON HER FACE AND HAD LOTS TO SAY. THINKING OF YOU, SARA LEE REINHART
