Joseph A. Ciavirella, 48, died at 8 p.m. March 13, 2009, at his residence. He was born Dec. 17, 1960, in Philadelphia to Alphonse S. and Madeline Sassany Ciavirella. His mother preceded him in death; his father survives in San Diego. Mr. Ciavirella worked at RTH. He previously worked at Suever Stone Quarry. He enjoyed doing scratch-offs, fishing, being by the ocean and riding motorcycles. When he was younger he had a pit bull named Turbo. He loved people and he loved his family. They meant everything to him. Survivors also include, three brothers, Michael (Sherry) Ciavirella, of Las Vegas, Alphonso (Connie) Ciavirella, of Sunset Hills, Mo., and John (Nancy) Ciavirella, of Sewell, N.J.; two sisters, Janice (William) Kessler and Madelynn McNunty, both of San Diego; 13 nieces and nephews; two great-nephews; a great-niece; and his special angel, Eileen Suever, of Delphos.
