Marshall J. Album, Dec. 24, 2011, age 64, of Vero Beach, FL., Retired Assistant Principal of Strawberry Mansion High School, Phila., Pa. Husband of Gail (nee Schwartz), father of Kim (Jeff) Piscopo. Beloved grandfather of Nicolas and Gianna, son of Freda Cooper, brother of Michele (Album) Weinstein. Family requests all contributions be made to The International Myeloma Foundation.

I lived at 5161 Pennway. Marshall lived at 5163. We shared the same steps in the day of row houses when neighbors were a lot closer geographically and emotionally. Marshall and I shared many memories. We had a walkie talkie set up between our bedrooms. We double dated...that is when you actually asked a girl to go out,you picked her up and went to a movie. Now they text, tweet or e mail.( wow I sound liked an old man)
Marshall was a good friend. I spoke to him about his illness and he was optimistic. He was not happy that he had to leave his school but he made the best of it. He got his strength from his grandchildren when they visited him in Florida.
Marshall will be missed but he made a difference through his family and his teaching.
