Ralph "Bones" Schneider taught Physical Education at Mastbaum from 1957 to 2002. He coached basketball, baseball and soccer. He was president of the public league coaches assocation for 14 years. His basketball team won the public league title in 1982. His baseball team captured the championship in 1979.
JEMAA gives a monetary award annually to a student who excels in sports and maintains a 3.0 GPA, continuing their education in either a college or technical school.
Coach as he was known to me really got me interested in the game of basketball.....I learned so much about preperation from coach.....I'm sure everyone who played for coach can remember hoagie day at his house out in the burbs.....I was so happy when he won the public league basketball title in 1982 few years after we (the team of 1978) came oh-so-close .......he also was the varsity baseball coach @mastbaum and the girls basketball coach at gwynnd mercy college......my first real bball coach Ralph (you better not call me bones) Schnieder...thanks for everything!
