We have maintenace that come on here to upgrade the system - they send us updates so here was the last one. Just so no one gets blamed for something they did not do! This is just my opinion b/c quite frankly I am not liking what is going on with this reunion and once again this is my opinion. Message: The Class Creator system will be down for maintenance Saturday and Sunday, March 7th and the 8th starting at 6:00 a.m. We are replacing the core hardware that runs Class Creator with all new hardware to better accommodate current and future users. The main work will take sometime, you may incur some lost of data we apologize for any inconvenience. If you wish to send an email to your Classmates regarding the system upgrade you can copy and paste this message. Thank you. Soooooooo ladies and gents I copy and pasted the message!!!!!!!!!!!

03/08/09 11:28 AM #1276     Lori DelSpechio (Irvin) Ree - thank you for posting that. Quite frankly, I feel that the "Reunion Committee" has taken a beaten. I have sat here and read all of the posts and have had my full of it. This started with Maria Chiro and I about a year ago and with the help of Michael, Jerry and MaryLou it really has grown. In my efforts to get something going, I came across this website and created it for us. It has been nothing but fun, laughs, great music and memories that last a lifetime. But, somehow this has all changed!!!!! I, personally have spent numerous hours on trying to finalize plans. I am not so sure that everyone realizes what goes into planning???????? With that being said, please know that I WANTED TO DO THIS. I enjoyed seeing everyone laugh and talk about old times. And please, do not thank me anymore because I don't appreciate the sarcasm behind it from some people. First it was the cost, now its the location????? So, what actually is the problem? Please know that I did ask people for dates that weren't good for them....I had only certain people respond. Also, we cannot possibly ask everyone's opinion on everything! If the school was running this event, there would be no opinions.....the place, date and cost would be decided and you would receive your letter and you would either attend or not. I feel that we tried to accommodate people as much as possible. With the first post, no one seemed to be happy about no open bar. With the second post, I included 2 hour open bar and that was not sufficient either. So, what is the definition of compromise? I am not unapproachable nor do I disregard anyone's feelings in any way. But, I certainly feel that some people have done that to me/committee. At this point, I don't want to have it at Adelphia's. I much rather have it at Vinny's.....the cost would be low, but the location is in New Jersey and that seems to be a problem. We have made all these plans and now we are supposed to start all over again????? IN MY OPINION, I VOTE FOR VINNY'S MAY 16TH!!! (no one said this was a bad date for them)

I don't think anyone had the intent to give the reunion committee a beating. If you feel that way b/c of anything that was said, I can assure you that was not my intent and I don't think it was anyone elses. Do you remember planning your wedding? Everyone had an opinion and it was really annoying? I can understand how the committee feels and I might feel the same way if I were in your shoes. But I have to say, I might feel better about the whole thing if I felt that comittee had been open to some discussion from the beginning. I feel, and I may be wrong about this, that the comittee was not listening to what anyone had to say. With that being said I think need to move past this, and get this thing going before too many feelings get hurt, it falls apart or we sit at opposite sides of the room at the reunion, ;), lol. How do we do that? Any ideas?

But,if you look back at the forum you w/recall Maria C. asking for some intake on how people felt about Adelphias. And if you look back,you w/find that that is when the reunion started togo sour. Yes,for some it is the money & for some it is the travel. That's why S.Philly was suggested,since that is where we went to school & is the center meeting place for allof us. I mean,why even bother showing pictures of ALL us on SR steps & the inside of the church. I mean lets face it,that is where we went to grade school(not high school). I for one,am not trying too hurt anybody's feelings.THAT WAS NOT MY INTENTION. You did at some point ask for peoples intake & you also have to remember that not everybody has the time to check the website to even put an input in. And to Joey D's comment to giant roaches. I went to an Hawiian party at SRH & their were no giant roaches there. However,around the church does have some flying roaches,because of the trees. I did leave right across the street,believe me...that I w/contess too. Listen,I don't want any hard feelings w/anybody. I'm too old & too sick. I have lost so much due to my health,that it's not even funny. I'm sure we ALL could tell some horror stories. I suffer w/chronic fatigue & depression,because of my health,as does Carolyn. It's no joke for us. No joke at all. When Vincet C.had called me about this reunion I was thrilled. It actually made me stop thinking of myself/where my life is today. I was so excited.I really was!! I just don't understand why we can't work together on this as a group. I'm sorry to say,that I don't buy that the system just randomly deleted some of our postings. Again,I'm not trying to hurt anyone's feelings on this,but my friend is an IT guy & said "no way,they had to be manually deleted." It is an option togO back & delete. Look,can we please try & rethink having this reunion in Philly?? What is the harm in rethinking it. Like I said before "all I want is to see everyone & do alot of laughing." I don't know about you guys/gals,but I need it. I mean,God Bless those that are doing very well at this point in their lives,but some of us haven't been that fortunate. Again,I'm thrilled that "the committe" took the time/effort to do this beautiful gathering. So again,I thank you,but can we plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz try again;-}Life is too short to be doing all this bickering. I have togo & take a damn nap. Grace makes a very valid point, we need to move past this nonsense. We need to get this show on the road!!! So far, the only thing I see that is a definate is the date, which I'm happy with because I have to attend a wedding on the previous date. Thank you Lori.... Love ya honey!!! The first question we need to get answered is the commitment that was made to Adelphia. Is there a contract or an agreement and can we get out of it and is it going to cost money to do so. If there is money at stake, that person or people need to be reimbursed....that is if we don't go with Adelphia. After that, a swift, but group decision needs to be made.
