I'm going to go out on a limb here. If you two girls decide to come back to the "Family of '79 Graduates", I'll personally sing this at our reunion. Live, On-Stage, with music or without!!!

Come on girls, come back to us...it's where you belong. We're like a big family, slightly disfunctional, but a family none the less. We have a chance to be happy again. I'll be happy again. In fact, I brought REM here to let you know how happy we could all be again!!!

I know what you're all thinking. This guy definitely talks too much. Well, it's 4:10 in the morning and I feel like talking. So talk, I will!
You would think with so many people in my house, I'd be all talked out by 4 in the morning. And it's not like I stop talking during the day either. I usually do about 6,000 hours a month on my Blackberry. I think if I ever stopped talking I'd figure out how much of a nut-case I am. So, without further delay, this is for anyone tired of reading my ramblings. (Remember, I talk to crackheads all day.) Hey, everybody needs someone to talk to :)

Ok, it seems to be getting to be past my bedtime. Oh yeah, I haven't slept since '83. I keep forgetting that. Anyway, I know I've played this one about 20 pages ago, but it's a classic!
I dedicate this to Lori and Marie. If you're out there reading, we all miss you very much and it won't be the same without you.

Good Night, Ladies!!!

Vin man: You are crazy ...and i LOVE every minute of it.
You should be taking over the Leno show instead of Conan, you are much more witty, funny and musically talented.

TIE IDEA: How about this....sometime during the night of our reunion, we all take a walk/ride over to that pole and I'll tie a NEW tie up there and see if we can get that one to last another 30 years. The original to commemorate 1979 and the new one to commemorate 2009.

This may be the last reunion where i'm actually ABLE to climb the pole again

Mike,Ain't that the truth!!

Vinny, thanks for all the great music!!

I can't remember what I ate/my thoughts from last week/last night..let alone 30-yrs ago!!!

I'm just amazed, grateful/thankful to everyone for bringing this "once in a lifetime" gathering together!!

We ALL need to be apart of this reunion, because life is too damn short & life can change on ALL of us in a heart beat & only GOD knows what tomorrow/next day will bring.

Thank you again to EVERYONE from the bottom of my heart!!!

I look forward to seeing EVERYONE at the reunion/to be apart of this "ONCE IN A LIFETIME" opportunity...ALL 42 OF US(except for Leroy,R.I.P.)!!!

Come on Maria & Lori, we ALL grew-up together for goodness sake/survived Catholic School...lets forgive & forget. Life is hard as it is, this is something that we ALL can enjoy/have fun with...it takes our minds off of the everyday blah, blah, blah, mundane, yada, yada, yada, bullshit that we ALL must deal with on a daily basis.

LOL

I can't even tell you what I did to this song in 1978!!

GOOD EVENING (barely)!!!
It's too darn early to be talking on this forum. For me anyway.
Thankfully, the time to talk was a couple of hours ago. Believe it or not, I had a phone interview with the producer of a new reality TV show that will air on MTV in a couple of months. The basis for this reality series is drug and alcohol interventions. A little different than the A+E series, Intervention. This series deals with individuals between 18 and 23 years old that are resistant to treatment. If it works out, I would be one of the Certified Interventionists to oversee the shows host. The host of the show is the ex-fiance of Nicole Ritchie, "DJ AM". No, I didn't make that name up, that's what he really calls himself. Anyway, we'll see how it plays out, but I think it would be a blast!!! I've got my fingers crossed :-)

Yo Mike,
I don't know if that was our song or not. I remember the last song they played at our 8th grade graduation party though. Remember the classic from Boz Scaggs (and all the girls crying as this song played)?
Here it is.

Hey Vin: I do remember that last song played. But I think our THEME was I'll be there. But I'm not totally certain. Anyone???

That sounds great about that MTV show, I hope it works out for you; sounds like it could be good for a lot of people. I have a lot of issues with those intervention and celebrity rehab shows. They are so much entertainment and medi-tainment and it's such a serious issue, i'm not sure if they help or hurt people suffering through those illnesses.
But i'm sure YOUR show will do the right things and really help people. If you need a script writer...I'm available, but I don't come cheap..(but that depends on the context..ha.:)

What's there like a certain time and date you all go on this forum? I check out the posts a few days a week and on weekends and nothing. Now all of a sudden, you guys can't shut up...lol. Glad to see things are moving along with this reunion. Can't wait!

03/26/09 10:15 PM #1480

My man Joe D:
No certain dates or times. I've been so damn busy with work and the family, i've had no time for this frivolous joviality.
But my wife was out earlier tonight and my boys were watching the flyers...so I had some free time. To share some tunes.
I'm heading to DC tomorrow to try to drum up some political advertising business...at least THEY have some money to spend. OUR TAX MONEY, but what the hell, I think we deserve to get SOME of it back any way we can.

I knew I could count on you, Mike. You know, for script support. Also, the word on the street is your NOT cheap, but you're easy :-o (Oh no he didn't!!!)lol

Anyway, I'll be back in a bit. I do some of my best comedy after midnight.

Mike, stay away from DC. Trust me, the recession is finally hitting there too. I was working in Annapolis, MD the past 5 months and when I got there in October, things couldn't be better. In just a few months business started to really decline...significantly! You need to call me sometime. We use Zimmerman Advertising out of Ft. Lauderdale, but you never know???

Michael Gatta

J.D. ...thanks for the warning. I'll def have my guard up on this trip. It's a mess everywhere sorry to say.
I'll call you Monday next week to catch up.
Like you said, you never know.
You wash my back, i'll wash your back and mama sahn can take care of the rest..hahahaha.

Hey Vinny, thank you for posting that song by Jesse Belvin - "Goodnight my love." Everytime I hear that song it reminds me of my father. I can still picture him singing that song to my mom. Funny thing is that when you're a kid you hold your parents in the highest regards...He sang that song so well, I literally thought he recorded it.

03/26/09 10:39 PM #1486

Michael Gatta

J.D. Remember this one???
The first time ever I heard this was at your Grandmothers house on a transistor radio.
I think your grandfather radio on Sydenham Street on the top step. 1976 maybe.

Joey Daurizio

Definately call me Mike. I like your "outside the box" thinking. Just stay away from reunion planning....lol. You know I had to throw in the cheap shot! BTW, I love the beer commercials. You really turned me on to checking out old commercials. I've been youtubing them ever since the IDEAL Clothing jingle you posted. That was awesome. Do you remember the TEXACO whistle. I've been searching for it, but no luck. Let me know what you come up with.

03/26/09 10:44 PM #1488

Joey Daurizio

Mike, I truly hope I never did anything to hurt your feelings when we were kids, cause you have a memory like an elephant. I do remember Sir Duke. Do you remember when we played hockey in my granmothers basement with the "wooden" golf clubs my grandfather owned. I think we busted every single club hear off. We were out of our minds. Do you remember the day you through the skate through Vito's window?

03/26/09 10:45 PM #1489

Michael Gatta

Haha..good one Joe.
But hey...You hung like mushroom.
(all head no stem). haha

I'll call you Monday to talk about more serious stuff.
Glad you like the commercials. Ideal was my all time favorite. That one and "You deserve a Break Today" were responsible for getting me into this crazy business im in.

I don't remember the Texaco Whistle...give me more info??
