DeWitt I read your comments on the possibility of the Indians being part of the lost 10 Tribes of Israel, and it got me to thinking about an Autobiography I read that was written by the Army Scout, and Pony Express Rider Buffalo Bill Cody. He was hired by the Army in 1876 to try and find the Sioux Indians who had wiped out Custer at the Little Bighorn. The Army wanted revenge, and so Cody was riding with some Indians maybe Blackfeet who hated the Sioux to find the Sioux. On the Trip they had a Doctor and one night the Indians came back to camp with a very long lower leg bone from and Human or so it seemed. The Doctor said it was long enough to be from a Man over 8 feet tall as long as it was. The Indans said it was from a Tribe of Men who the Great Flood had wiped out. The indians told Cody that these tall men laughed at Thunder and Lightning, and would run down the Buffalo on Foot. They even said they had Burial Mounds where they were buried. In Ohio and other States large mounds have been located that had buried Skeletons of men over 8 feet tall, and in Mexico a skeleton was dug up of a complete man who was over 12 feet tall. If you want to dig, you can Search Google and Find pictures of thiese Giants, as well as stories of people in the early 1900s who were hired to find evidence of them. There are even supposed to be sealed off Tunnels in the North End of the Grand Canyon where there are traces of a lost civilization that the US Government hired two Archeologists to investigate, and then when they filed their Reports the reports were held to be Secret, and the two Archeologists were sworn to secrecy. one of them became a Comedian who called himself Rodney Dangerfield, and the other Drank himself to Death, his name was Bill. (This last part I made up to see if you had gone to sleep) The Indans said that these Big and Tall Men had died off in the Great Flood. I bought a copy of that Book by William F. Cody, at a used bookstore in Scottsdale, Az. close to where the Cowboy Artist shops are located. I found that Story about the Caves in the Northern Part of the Grand Canyon very interesting, because of the Comic Strip in the Newspaper called Little orphan Annie, with Daddy Warbucks, and the turbaned Giant who worked for Warbucks, named Punjab. There was a whole Episode about the Caves and Little Orphan Annie being held captive in the Caves by some Villains. I wonder if the Writer of that Cartoon Series was onto something about our history. To this day, the Smithsonian Institute will not take exhibits concerning Giants in our land, and the caves in the northern part of the Grand Canyon. Don't call, dont worry, Ill check myself in tomorrow get back on the Meds, start eating better, and stick to the straight News.
