I knew Gary well even at Simis grade school. We hung out with two friends from Brophy and played a lot of sports after school. Our favorite was basketball although we were not tall enough or good enough to make the school team although I tried. Gary joined the Air Force after high school because he did not want to go to college or get drafted. After 4 years he got out and he lived in Phoenix, but I saw much less of him because I was married with kids. Gary committed suicide decades ago now and I did attend his funeral. He is buried in a Veteran's cemetery out in North Cave Creek Road. Gary had a younger sister Margaret that also attended Central but I have lost contact with her.

I remember Gary from Simis and Central too. Wes, cherish your memories with a good friend.
