Denny moved to Phoenix and Meadows  while we were in the 7th grade. We became friends right away and by the 8th grade i found myself at the Rajsich house to do "school projects/homework".After Central, we went to the U of A together. We were in adjoiming dorms and we saw each other almost every day. He decided he would try to walk on to the Wildcat basketball team and started to annoy the coach enough to get a try-out..He gathered a group of friends, taught us how to cheer, apprpriately, and instructed us to sit around the gym during his tryout and cheer for everything he did. I guess we (his cheering section) were pretty good because he made the team. How cool is that? I saw him at least twice a year for the next 30 years.

This is heartbreaking. Denny was always enjoyable to be around—a kind and caring friend. His home was a special place I loved to hang around—particularly as a sports fan—there was a unique family bond to be felt there.

This shows up life can be so fragile and unexpected.  Denny has left a great legacy. He was bigger than life. He will be missed.

Very sad news and comfort and condolences to the family .  It appears there is a GoFundMe out to help with finances.
