Mark was one of my best friends. I have known Mark and Bill Lodge since 3rd grade. If anyone knows When, Where, How and some history - I would appreciate it.  Thanks.

I'm very sorry to see Mark Simis has passed.  He was a great guy, and I actually had a crush on him for awhile!

I, too, had a crush on Mark. He was cute, sweet and had a wry sense of humor. Very cool guy! So sorry to hear he is gone.

I wish Mark were here to see how much we all liked him. I remember playing football with Mark in PE and at lunch.

Everyone who knew Mark Simis will greatly miss him at the reunion.  He was a very charismatic guy and everybody loved being around him.  Mark and I became good friends shortly after I came to Madison Meadows in the 7th grade largely because we both enjoyed sports and were very competitive.  He rooted for Willie Mays, I rooted for Mickey Mantle, he rooted for Wilt Chamberlain, I rooted for Bill Russell, round and round it went.  He was such a fun guy.  We played countless ping pong games at his house and mine, Marco Polo in his pool and whiffle ball baseball at his neighbor's house.  I found out he lived in Salinas with his wife Cathy Hart so my wife and I stopped to see him in 1973 on our way to LA from Seattle and I visited him in 1974 on my way to San Antonio to start my military career.  Mark was doing great and looked good.  He was the foreman in the lettuce fields that I believe were owned by Cathy's father.  I assumed he would probably take over the family business later in life.  That was the last time I saw him.  It's hard to believe he's gone.
