Cynthia Lorraine Anderson, 58, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on June 10, 2008. Cindy was born February 20, 1950 in San Francisco, California. She moved to Phoenix wither family in 1952. She attended Washington High School and graduated with Honors from Park College with a degree in human resources management. Cindy served proudly in the United States Marine Corps. She was an Executive Directorwith the YMCA, both in Oak Harbor, Washington and in Troy, North Carolina; an organization that she deeply loved. Cindy is survived by her former husband and best friend, Kipp Anderson; her son Daniel, her daughter Molly and the light of her life, granddaughter, Ava. She is also survived by her mother, Hattie Lindsey of Concho Valley, Az. and her brother, Dennis Lindsey of Whitman, Az; and last, but not least, her kitty cats Sweetie Pie and Gus. Cindy was preceded in death by her Dad, Marion Lindsey.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th at 6:30p.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1407 N. 2nd Street, Phoenix, Az.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Valley   of the Sun YMCA, 350 N. 1st Ave. Phoenix, Az. 85003 or the Arizona Humane Society.
