I went to a concert with Curt at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum.  We went to see Iron Butterfly. The opening act seemed to be an odd pairing with the headline group. It was a older man dressed in a suit who played guitar. We had never heard of him before. His name was B.B. King. Needless to say, we were blown away by his blues playing. Little did we know that B.B. King would become the legend that he is today, and Iron Butterfly would basically be known for one song...In-a-Gadda-da-Vida. When they began to play the opening notes of their big hit, the coliseum went wild. We were treated to an incredible rendition that I will never forget. To this day, every time I hear it, I think of Curt and the fabulous experience we shared at the Coliseum that night. Thanks for a wonderful memory Curt.  Rest in peace...you left us much too soon...
