I met Debbie in 1973 through my husband Rick Coffman.  We became instant friends.  Four years later, she and Marshall were in our wedding.  Debbie was quick witted and very funny.  She LOVED to laugh.  This served us well over the years in regards to observations we made about our spouses and everyday life. Over the years, it always gets a laugh when the story of Ricks crush on her during high school is told.  Ask Rick about the letter sweater incident.

After relocating several times over the years, Debbie and M finally returned to AZ.   We  picked up where we left off.

Debbie was very creative. She was really good at writing, cooking & baking, home decorating, crafts and she had the gift to gab! She was always so helpful and generous with her time and talents.  She was a huge ASU football fan.  She also enjoyed watching the Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies. Besides being a big sports fan, Debbie was an even bigger fan of her daughters and especially her grandchildren.

Debbie had her share of health issues over the years. The worst was the one that took her from us.  She contracted CJD. In less than a month, she was gone.

Although I didn't attend Washington High School, I have attended every reunion.  This year will be the first without my friend, Debbie.  She will be missed.

With Love,

Cheryl Coffman
