I am sorry to see that no one has posted a comment on Jay.  We were friends at Orangewood Elementary in the mid 60s.  Jay lived one block north of me on Wagon Wheel Drive.  We lost contact with each other at Washington, but I always considered him my friend.  For those who don't know, Jay was a murder victim in 1980.  He was killed by a "friend" after a day at Lake Pleasant.  We all should be remembered; I remember you Jay.

Thank you Ray, I didn't know what took Jay's life.  I remember him in high school, when we had "Surfers or Cowboys".  Jay always wore his hair in a surfers cut and looked so cool. Just hanging out with Jay, kind of made me feel cool.  He is very much remembered.

I'm starting a tax exempt foundation to aid people (like me) who quote rock lyrics incessantly.  Bruce the Boss in "Glory Days' described Jay: "He could throw that speed ball by you; make you look like a fool...".  Jay really got along with everyone.  He was one of a kind and I miss him,  marty

Jay and I hung out our sophomore year. Jay, Patty Sweeney, Diane Warren and I went to the state fair, it was fun, he was always full of self confidence, girls still scared the hell out of me. He was one of the first to have a car, his dad was a GM of an auto dealer I believe. Once he got his wheels he was poster boy for The Beach Boys "I Get Around". During the summer between our sophomore and junior years I found out I was moving out of the district, Jay and I had an idea I could use his address so I could stay at Washington, my parents, had a different idea. All I have are Great Memories of Jay.

I remember Jay from Orangewood. He pitched for the baseball team.  Jay was a nice guy and let some of us girls play catch before or after practice.  He taught me to throw and pitch underhand. I lost track of him in high school, but I remember him as such a good guy.
