Sadly, Rick took his own life in the mid to late '70s.  His Dad was General Manager of KPHO during the "Wallace and Ladmo" days.  His family ( Mom, Dad and one younger sister whose name I can't remember) moved to Nevada around the time of graduation but Rick stayed in the Valley working as a printer in Glendale.  Rick never married and had no children.  Rick taught himself to play a mean blues harmonica his senior year. A member of the "counter-culture" during high school, he was a good friend.

Roger it must have been painful for you to hear of your old pal's demise.  I know that one.  Sorry you are experiencing it.

Spry, Banan, and yours truly hung out a lot. Rick was the one who thought up the ideas what to do for our escapade that evening. The statute of limitations has run out on most of those "escapades".  Inventive; thinking outside the box; sarcastic to the max; wearing wide wale courderoy pants with the belt buckle off to the side and Beatle boots; these are my memories of Spry.  Rick my friend, have a Shlitz or two from me and R.L.

We miss you

Rick, me, and the Konski boys hung out in the '70s. They would come up to visit when I lived in Sedona. They would bring the guns. I hate to be the one; Rick S. was having a breakdown of his romance. He told her if she left he would kill himself; she did and he did.
Cause of death; shotgun.
Sorry to be the guy to tell, but y'all seemed to want details.
