Leslie "Tom" Harlan was born in 1947 to Virginia and Leslie Harlan in Phoenix, AZ. Tom enjoyed a childhood of Boy Scouts and summers with Virginia's extended family in Hemingford, Nebraska. Throughout high school Tom was passionate about the Junior Rotary Club where he made life-long friends and started printing in his parent's garage. After graduating college at Arizona State University in 1971 majoring in Graphic Technology, he drove up California looking for work and staying at Sigma Nu houses along the way. He settled in Berkley, California and married his college sweetheart, Kathy. Tom is survived by his wife Kathy and two daughters Katie and Kristen and their families. Celebration of life was held in Bakersfield, California on Friday, June 15th at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church. In honor of his memory please send donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
