Rachelle Kristine "Kris" Reno, 38, passed away at 2:48 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Jerseyville Hospital.

She was born on Oct. 10, 1972, in Carlinville. She was the beloved daughter of Randy and Kay (Vinyard) Reno of Medora.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Aaron Goetten, two nephews, Drake and Dax Goetten, one niece, Neely Goetten, and her fiance, Mike Prough, all of Jerseyville; her grandmother, Virginia Reno of Piasa; several aunts and uncles, Debbie Reno of Florissant, Linda and John Lambeth of Plainview, Aggie Piper and Mary Costello of Greenfield; Edna Plogger of Rockbridge; and George Vinyard of Mt. Sterling; dear friend, Ron Sheppard of Carlinville; and numerous friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her 23-year-old brother Kraig; grandparents, Russell Reno, Athen Vinyard Sr., and Cecilia Vinyard; and two uncles, Sgt. Herbert Vinyard and Athen Vinyard Jr.

Kris graduated from Southwestern High School in 1990 and received her bachelors degree in business from Blackburn College in 1994. She spent over 20 years in banking. She was currently a loan officer for First Bank in Jerseyville and owned the Credit Bureau of Macoupin County in Carlinville.

She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Medora, St. John's Altar Society, and the Jerseyville Elks Lodge. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends, and especially loved spoiling her niece and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 26, at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at St. John's Catholic Church in Medora with Father Raphael Paul officiating.

Burial will follow at Medora Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Catholic Church for Masses or to "Kris"mas of Hope for the Needy (in care of United Community Bank in Carlinville), as Kris was always a giving person to those who were not as "blessed" in life as she was. Being a very generous person, she believed in and was an organ donor.
