In Memory

Sean Donovan

We learned of the death of Sean Donovan March 25, 2002 in Indio, California. We had lost track of Sean after the tenth reunion when he was at St. Meinrad in Indiana, apparently studying to become a monk, A letter to St. Meinrad suggested he had moved to San Bernardino.

Earl tried to reach him there, but Sean had by then moved on. Our efforts to trace him thereafter came up empty until this summer when Jim Livingstone of the class of 1960, looking for Earl's brother Gordon, contacted Earl through Classmates.com. Jim graciously volunteered to help us track down our missing. He succeeded in cracking a number of cases which had stumped us for years, in a period of about two days last July. Sean was recognized for his skill as an artist and voted best artist in our Class of 1962. Earl wishes he knew more about his life and his work. We will remember Sean and be sorry we lost touch with him.
