In Memory

Art Krapp

Art Krapp died this spring after a long bout with leukemia. I learned of his death from his wife Lynda who emailed me in response to my new email address telling me the news. We all remember Art as the bag piper who would, with his bag pipe band, come in and play "Scotland the Brave" and other bag pipe selections each reunion for us. The bagpipe renditions always sent chills down my spine.

Art is survived by his wife Lynda and two daughters, Michele and Carlene. In 1992, Art described Lynda as "not only a wonderful wife and mother, but my best friend. Have been married 26 years." And he recalled his favorite high school memory as "the Kiltie Band and Mr. Brick Johnson." We will all miss Art and our thoughts go out to his family.
