James Bauman, 44, of Sheridan, Wyo., died May 5, 1987 in his home after a long illness.. He was born May 29, 1942, in Luverne, MN.  He attended the South Dakaota School of Mines in Rapid City and was graduated from South Dakota State University as an electrical engineer.  He had been employed with TSP since 1963 and helped establish offices in Rochester, MN., Sioux Falls, Rapid City and Sheridan where he was manager of the office since 1977.  He married Karon Neiverworder February 5, 1965 in Sioux Falls.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheridan and served on the church council; Rotary Club, IEEE Local 426 and IBEW.

Survivors include his wife, three daughters: Kari, Kimberly and Kristin, all at home; his parents - Garfield and Lorraine Bauman of Sioux Falls; a brother, Bob, Harrisburg; and two sisters.  He is buried in Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls.
