
Lex, Gilbert "Gil" of Bloomington, MN., died May 15, 2020. Survived by his wife of 46 years, Susan; son Matthew; and brother Leo (Ryan). Preceeded in death by parents Grace and Charles Lex and a brother, Daniel. Gil was born in Mankato, MN on July 8, 1941. He eventually moved to Pierre, SD where he graduated from high school. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he moved to Minneapolis and worked for Qualitone Hearing Aid Company for 30+ years. He is interred at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, St. Paul, MN. Minneapolis Tribune

Gilbert came out for football as a senior. He wasn't very good to begin with but through his determination he became a good football player by the time the season ended. Jack Schlaht and Coach Tautner really recruited him, I think he really enjoyed the camaraderie.
