Marie Rogers Bellander, 75, of Pierre, lost her battle with cancer, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Avera St. Mary's Hospital in Pierre.  

Marie Yvonne Rogers was born August 26, 1941, the eldest child of George and Helen (Rogers) Tagtow.  She was born and raised east of Pierre and graduated from T.F. Riggs High School.  She met Blalin Bellander while he worked on the Oahe Dam in Pierre and they married in 1960.  Blalin worked on many construction projects that took their family to various locations throughout the Midwest and eastern states.  The love of the truth of God was very important to Marie and she made her choice to serve the Lord.  Spending time with God and serving Him was her priority each and every day.

She is survived by her daughters;  Karman (Clay) Goerks of Omaha, NE., Ranale (Craig) Wiseman of Rapid City, SD, and Marcie (Scott) Lorenberg of Aberdeen, SD; grandson, Brandon; brother, Roger (Bonnie) Tagtow; sister, Sandy (Jack) Smith and brother, Kim (Gayle) Byrum.  She was preceded i death by her husband, parents, grandparents, daughter Sharla and grandson Johnny..
