Famous or interesting people you've met?

I was around a lot of famous people when I worked at the Tropicana Country Club in Las Vegas. It was an opportunity to observe famous people at play. Sammy Davis jr was a wonderful person. He invited the whole staff to his show when he was in town. Mickey Rooney played golf at the Tropicana and always played by himself. He was so hyper, he completed 9 holes in 45min to anhour. He played late in the afternoon. I loaned him my driver once and he gave me a $5 tip, alot of money in 1970. All of the "rat pack" people played golf at the trop, most were unapproachable, but in any event we were not allowed to ask them for autographs.
An interesting character was Tropicana Joe, he was the caddy master but spent most of his time gambling away his tips or "tokes" at the race book. The only newspaper he read was the racing form. He was a great schmoozer and could coax a tip from the cheapest of linkster, but even he couldn't get toke out of Bill Cosby, a known non tipper.
