Sam was a great guy. I was with him during the last days that he was alive. He came over and a couple of us were watching the Denver Broncos play on Monday night in a heavy snowstorm with John Elway at quarterback. We had all bet on the game except Sam. Sam was so upset the entire night because he had not bet on the game.I can't even remember if we won our bets on the game. What I do remember was that Sam was always a great person and friend. Hopefully he is at peace now. We will always remember him.--Joel
My good friend Sam passed in oct or nov 1984, I was in japan serving in the marines when i got the call. Sam would do anything for anybody and always wanted to be a pro football player. The "bear" or "BO" will always be in my memory !
