Robert Telling passed away at his current residence, Newark Care and Rehabilitation in Newark, Ohio on August 31, 2018 at the age of 67. Bob was born in Camden, New Jersey, and resided in Lindenwold, New Jersey during his formative years. He attended Lindenwold public schools and graduated from Overbrook Regional High School in 1969. During his high school years he excelled in athletics and achieved acclaim on the basketball court. Here he learned the values of self-discipline, endurance and perseverance that carried him through adulthood. He was employed by Owens Corning Fiberglas and Bell Telephone in Camden County, NJ. He lived in numerous states for periods of time and settled in Ohio in 2006.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, Herbert Telling and Florence Smith Telling of Lindenwold, NJ. He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Florence Telling Hortz and son-in-law Stanley W. Hortz of Newark, Ohio and nephews Eric and Brian Hortz and families; and his brother, Kent Telling, sister-in-law Cecilia Miller Telling of Clementon, NJ and niece and nephew Christine and Daniel Telling.

Private arrangements have been made by the immediate family through Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, Newark, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, OH 43058

Doug Taylor (1969)

Remember Bob well from the High School Days.  Nicked name the Birdman because how he could jump so high when playing baskeball and from track as our polevaulter. To one who was kind and and a friend to all.  Doug
