While I cannot remember the date of his death, I remember the sad circumstances. I first met Bill in grammar school and with our last names we were always sitting near one another in alphabetical order and in the same homeroom all six years. It seemed every year there was at least one teacher that struggled with his name usually coming up with something like Zeb-bro-zeek and he would just kind of sigh and correct them. He was a fun guy, nice to be around. I still occasionally see his wife, Michelle Mortka an ORHS grad Class of '77 I believe.
