Rest in Peace, Bernadette                  

April 26, 1947 - October 27, 2023

Bernadette “Bernie” Taylor age 76 passed away on October 27, 2023 in Ardmore, PA with loved ones by her side. Born April 26, 1947 with an identical twin sister, Elvira Mckelvey (Taylor) in Newark, NJ to the late Victor Taylor and Dorothy Randon. She was a graduate of the Class of 1965 at Overbrook Regional High School in Pine Hill, NJ. After graduation, Bernie joined Telesciences Communications Company in Mount Laurel, NJ where she worked for over 20 years while living in her beloved log cabin in Rancocas Woods. After meeting her loving partner and confidant Margaret “Peggy” Schofield, she moved to Ardmore PA working briefly at Algar Ferrari. There they enjoyed most of their days together sitting on the porch, listening to Bette Midler where Bernie would stop to pet every dog and smile and babble at every baby that walked by! Bernadette was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, partner, and friend who left behind a legacy of love. She cherished her one and only daughter, Sandra Taylor Martino (Artie), pioneering through most of life, just the two of them. Yet, undoubtedly, her favorite role was grandmother to Stefanie (Larry), Krista (Joseph), Micaela (Angel), and Logan. Great-Grandmother to Alayna, Joey, Jameson, Carter, Kassidy, Angelo, and soon to be born Great-Grandson in March of 2024. Bernadette was a true “Matriarch” treasuring and embracing every moment spent with her family. She was a wonderful Aunt to her niece and nephew, Shannon and David Mckelvey and will be deeply missed by many other extended family and friends.
