George Taylor - Class Of 1965

George F. Taylor passed away on February 8, 2024. He was 77 years old. He was the beloved husband of Lynn (nee DeSanto). Loving father of Dr. Greg Taylor (Dana) and Jeff Taylor. Proud grandfather of Griffin Taylor. Also survived by his brother Ricky Lee Taylor and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins. George lived an extraordinary life of service to others. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the US Air Force. Upon returning, he joined the NJ State Police where he spent the next 20 years serving and protecting others. He was a pillar of his community where he was a 4 th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, member of the Kiwanis club of Berlin where he served as president and was a VFW member. George acted as the Fire commissioner for Winslow Township, was an officer of the Winslow Township Business Association and was selected to run for Camden County Freeholder. George volunteered countless hours as a little league baseball coach and acted as the secretary for the Winslow Township Athletic Association. Later in life George rekindled his love of baseball by playing and on numerous senior baseball and softball teams where he was considered an elite player. In addition to his career in the NJ State Police, George used his passion for health and fitness to open Shapes to Come Spa and Fitness Center where he helped others improve their health and made many lasting friendships. Later he was an entrepreneur in the development of Taylor Woods Apartments in Winslow Township.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation on Saturday February 17th from 9:30 AM – 12:00 Noon at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. Memorial Service will begin at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in George’s name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation (www.michaeljfox.org).
