On November 17, 2000 Richard S. decided to "go sailing" after a battle with cancer. Richard was raised in Clementon, NJ & attended Overbrook High School. He owned & operated 'Richard's Natural Foods Restaurant' & store in Voorhees from 1980-1996. To his customers, many of whom had health problems, Richard was always free to offer his advice, his compassion, his support & most of all his friendship. For the last 2 years Richard was in real estate sales with Prudential Fox & Roach, Voorhees, NJ & was a member of the Million Dollar Sales Club. A Vietnam Veteran who served with honor, dignity & courage, Richard received a Purple Heart & Army Commendation Medal. His wife Pat, his daughter Jillian, his son Richard, his brother Steven & his sister Julie survive him. Richard touched more lives than most of us ever will. We will miss him. There will be a memorial gathering held on Tuesday November 21 from 7-10pm at the Moorestown Community House on Main St. in Moorestown. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made "in memory of Richard S.
