Rest in Peace, David
David A. Burdine, of Fairfield Connecticut and Cape Coral Florida, passed away on June 12, 2015 surrounded by his caring family.
A loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, David touch the lives of many. Born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania on February 21, 1948. David grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia. He went to Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts where he majored in electrical engineering. David's professional career included medical sales management positions at General Electric, Phillips Medical Systems, and Seimens.
As an avid outdoorsman, he frequently fished the waters of the Long Island sound, Housatonic River, Nantucket, Belize, Cabo San Lucas, and the Caribbean. He hunted in Pennsylvania, Amenia, NY, San Angelo, Texas, Monroe, and was a member of the Fairfield County Fish and Game Protective Association. His other interests included traveling, reading, shortwave radio, keeping up with politics, watching baseball, and automotive culture.
David is survived by his wife of 34 years, Carol of Fairfield, his daughter Brooke of New York City, Benjamin of Fairfield, and his sisters Margaret Rappenecker and Cindy Royds, both of Northport Florida.
David's memorial mass will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 10:30am in St. Pius X Church, Fairfield. His interment will be private.
