Rest in Peace, Neil

MCGOWAN, NEIL PATRICK, - 70, formerly of Dennis Township, NJ, and a long-time resident of Cape May County passed away peacefully at his retirement home in Florida on September 17, 2017, after a courageous battle. He was born on June 11, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pa. to the late James and Margaret McGowan. Neil was a graduate of Camden Catholic High School and was drafted and served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired sales representative for various car dealers in Atlantic and Cape May Counties.
He enjoyed spending time/ barbequing with his family and enjoyed his Sunday golfing. Neil is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Marie Zimmerman McGowan; his children: Michael (Stacey) McGowan, Kimberly (Artie) Cowan, Jennifer Nieves, and Caroline (Gabe Lamb) McGowan; grandchildren: Aaron and Jacob Cowan, Hunter and Riley McGowan, Joanna and Austin Berry, Martin and Sophia Nieves, and Eric and Brian Lamb. In addition to his children he and his wife also raised five other children. He was preceded in death by his son, Neil Patrick McGowan Jr. Donations can be made in his Memory to a charity of your choice.
