School Story:
I taught at Overbrook from 1958 to 1965. I was class advisor to several classes and the class of 1963 dedicated their yearbook to me. I had previously taught in Clementon and Gibbsboro. In 1965 Mr. Donahue took me on as his administrative assistant. While in that capacity I earned my MA in Administration and Supervision at Glassboro State. Upon Mr. Doanhue's passing I was transferred to Edgewood as Supervisor of Instruction. I 1969 I was appointed Principal of the new Edgewood Junior School. In 1975 I was moved to the central office as Dictrict Coordinator from which position I retired in 1980.
In 1983 I moved to Florida. My first wife, Elaine, whom many of you knew, was diagnosed with cancer of the breast in 1982 and passed in 1990.
In 1992 I met a Southern Belle, Lottie Mae, who lived in Asheville, NC. We were married in 1996 and spent 10 happy years between her home and my condo in Vero Beach, FL. She passed in 2006 and I came here to live with my daughter, Amanda, in Longs, SC which is near Myrtle Beach.
In addition to my children I have seven grandchildren of my own plus an extended family consisting of a step son, five grand children and five gr. grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Two days prior to my 80th. birthday I suffered a heart attack which necessitated open heart surgery. I had a triple bypass and two redirected arteries followed by many months of rehabilitation.
My son lives in Atco and I get to NJ once or twice a year. I'm hoping to get to the Class of 1962 reunion this fall.
