In Memory

Dorinda Ward (Taylor) - Class Of 1968

Rest In Peace Dorinda

Dorinda "Dee" Taylor

AGE: 62 • Villas

Sometimes, all we need is a hand to hold and a heart to understand. When someone listens, stretches out a hand or whispers a kind word of encouragement, or attempts to understand a lonely person, extraordinary things begin to happen. Dorinda "Dee" Taylor (nee Ward) was helpful and loving with an open heart. Although Dee had lived strong, On Monday morning, April 16, 2012 Dee passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Fill not your heart with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles; I've only gone to rest a little while.

Dee was born in Lakewood, NJ and had been a resident of Mays Landing and the Villas before retiring to the Villas full time this past March. She had received her Masters from Glassboro State College in Psychology and began her career as a substitute teacher in the Franklin Twp. School District. She had worked for the NJ State Division of Developmental Disabilities for 25 years and as a counselor for the South Jersey Hospital System for 10 years. Dee was deeply rooted in her faith and had been a longtime congregant of the Mays Landing Methodist Church. Dee loved to travel and take trips, even just a road trip on the back of "her" motorcycle. She could never pass a yard sale and enjoyed the afternoon shooting at par. At home Dee enjoyed her flowers and gardening, just being Mom and Nee-Nee.

…And ever has it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation. Dee is survived by her husband of 30 years William Taylor of The Villas. She is the mother of Nicole & her husband Adam Laspee of Franklinville and Rusty Taylor of Trainer, PA. Dee is the proud grandmother of Joey, Marissa and Breanna and is also survived and will be sadly missed by her sister Donna, her aunts Janet Stubbins, and Joy Allen, her uncle Donald Trueland, her mother-in-law May Taylor, many loving cousins and her fury friends Topaz, Mr. Blue and Smudge.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the Taylor family to remember Dee, celebrate the legacy of a wife mother, grandmother and friend and pay tribute to an open heart on Saturday morning between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike, Atco where a funeral ceremony will be celebrated at 12:30 pm. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 www.cancer.org To e-mail a condolence, please visit www.lpwoosterfuenralhome.com
