William McDade - Class Of 1960

William J. McDade, Jr., 76, departed this life on January 22, 2019, at MidState Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Mary Lynn (Papallo) McDade.

Bill was born in Philadelphia, PA, on March 24, 1942, to the late William and Madeline (Burke) McDade.

Bill served in the US Navy on the USS Ault from '60-'62, followed by 2 years in the reserves. He was employed by CUNO for 9 yrs, and Sikorsky Aircraft for nearly 30 years. He was an active member of the Polish Falcons Nest 68, the Wallingford Elks Club#1365, the Wallingford Italian Club, and the Father John Papallo Lodge. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing cards, and golfing. He was an avid Eagles Fan.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by: daughter Michele Yetsko and her husband John; daughter Christine Jefferys and her husband Rashad; son Timothy McDade and wife Stephanie; son Kevin McDade and wife Melissa and 10 grandchildren who love their Pop-Pop dearly. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Gray and her husband Louis, brother in law Tony Ciasulli, and sister in law Marie Molgano. Bill's memory will be cherished by his many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019, at 10:30 AM at Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, the 27th of January from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. Burial with military honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meriden.
