Richard Amandeo - Class Of 1995

                                                   Rest in Peace, Richard (RJ)

Richard “RJ” Amandeo, 39, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on September 14, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer with family and friends by his side.

RJ was a graduate of Overbrook High School, Class of 1995. He was a Chemical Operator for Johnson Matthey in West Deptford since 1999 and was the Union President of the United Steel Workers Union Local# 8972 for the past 7 years and has served in various other leadership positions within the Union. He was a former member of the Clementon Fire Company and a current member of the Williamstown Fire Company, where he formerly served as a lieutenant. He was currently serving as a school board member for the Monroe Twp. Board of Education. He coached and was a former board member of the Monroe Twp. Youth Street Hockey. He was a co-founder and former board member of the Monroe Twp. Lacrosse Club. He was a sports enthusiast and he enjoyed spending time with and helping family and friends.

Beloved husband of Kristy Amandeo (nee Green). Devoted father of Ricky Amandeo and Karly Amandeo. Also survived by his loving companion Penny. Loving son of Richard Amandeo, Sr. and the late Susan Amandeo. Dear brother of Tammy Ann Mangini (Tony) and Anthony Rocco Amandeo. Loving grandson of Francis “Nerk” and Jean Agnew. Dear son in law of Karen Green (Chalie) and Jim Green (Judy). Dear brother in law of Jaime Hughes (Artie) and Regina Kosmena. Dear uncle of Hayli and Brayden.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday evening from 6:00 – 9:00 pm and Tuesday from 10:30 am – 12:00 noon at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a service will follow at 12:00 noon.
