In Loving Memory of
Michael B. Ferris Sr.
January 13, 1973
April 22, 2012
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one,
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun.
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done
Michael was born January 13th 1973 to Anne Parker and John Ferris Sr. He had a twin brother Marc who passed away at birth, two brothers John Ferris Jr., Richard Ferris and a sister Kimberly Ferris. He grew up in Clementon and went to Clementon Elementary school & attended Overbrook High School. Mike then met his spouse of twenty one years, Michelle Leahey with whom he's resided in Voorhees NJ for the last 12 years. Mike has eight children Michael, Marc, Brian, Courtney, Melissa, Brianna, Madison, Nicholas and a stepson, Robert Borton. Along with many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Mike had many Friends and was always the life of every party! Mike began working for RJ Development soon after school where he stayed for ten years. He then started his own Landscaping business which he successfully ran with the help of his son, Brian for the past eight years. He was a very hardworking man and did it all for his family, whom he loved to spend most of his time with. He loved being outside and would spend countless days at the shore fishing, swimming, and crabbing with his kids. He loved to go camping and bowling. During football season you could always find him in front of the TV rooting for his beloved Redskins. Mike created many loving memories in his very short thirty nine years. We are all so very grateful to of had him in our lives. And will forever remember his warm smile and loving soul.
I have only just lost you the pain is hard to bear. Do I have to go through life knowing you're not there? Please someone explain to me why he had to go. are there any reasons I really need to know? I sit here and remember all the lovely times we shared the talks the laughter of every one you cared. I am told the pain will ease in time and I will think of him without a tear. But that will be impossible as I need to have him here. He was my very world to me my ever guiding star. Just kiss me softly on the cheek and tell me where you are!
