In Memory

Diane Mattson (Surran) - Class Of 1962

                                                       Rest in Peace, Diane

CHICHESTER - Diane E. Surran of Chichester passed away early Thursday morning, January 3, 2013, in the comfort of her home.

Born August 11, 1944 in Audubon, N.J., she grew up in nearby Lindenwold with her parents, older brother, and older sister. She married William W. Surran in 1974 and together with their four children, they traveled and moved often, living in New Jersey, Iowa, and eventually settling in New Hampshire in 1986. They lived in Chichester since 1992. Diane was an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church for over 20 years, where she made many close friends. She loved to paint and sketch in many mediums and was skilled in numerous other crafts, giving away much of what she created. People felt instantly comfortable in her presence as she was warm and welcoming. She maintained strong bonds with family and friends, near and far away, throughout her life. Diane was a kind and gentle person who touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.  A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 12, at 11 a.m., at Concordia Lutheran Church, 211 North Main Street Concord.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Diane's memory to Concordia Lutheran Church, 211 North Main St., Concord, NH 03301.  The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of the arrangements.

Messages of condolence may be offered at www.bennettfuneral.com.
