Tina Marie Grimmie
Thousand Oaks, CA - Tina Marie Grimmie, 59, went to be with the Lord and her daughter Christina, on September 2, 2018 after a courageous and brave battle with cancer for many years. Her beloved husband, Albert "Bud" Grimmie, was by her side.
Tina was truly a unique individual with an extremely giving heart. She was a powerful and shining example of motherhood, being an amazing wife while giving love and encouragement to others despite her own struggles. She had an incredible faith in God which translated into a legacy that will be with us all for many years to come. Her laugh, energy, passion and joyful spirit shall always be a reminder of the gift she was to all of us.
Tina Grimmie was born on May 25, 1959 to her adoring father Wesley and mother Gina Milos. She married the love of her life, Albert "Bud" Grimmie, on September 19, 1987 at the Church of the Good Shepard in Berlin, New Jersey. She had two incredible children, her son Marcus Albert Grimmie, in 1992 and her daughter Christina Victoria Grimmie in 1994. Most of her early life was spent on the east coast. She moved to Los Angeles, California in 2012 as her daughter Christina's singing career blossomed. Tina Grimmie quickly became known as "Mama Grimmie" to her daughter's fans and after the loss of Christina in 2016, she dedicated herself to helping others who were walking through the same challenges she had faced. She co-founded the Christina Grimmie Foundation with her family in 2017.
