LINDENWOLD - Two persons . were killed here yesterday in thehead- on collision of two cars on Egg Harbor Road. The two drivers, George Keyes, 43, of Manitoba Trail, Indian Mills, and David Payne, 26, of the 200 block of Countiss Avenue, Lindenwold, were dead on arrival at Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Stratford, after the 2:03 a.m. accident, said borough police Lt. Robert Robbins. ,. , , Robbins said the accident occurred as the two cars were cresting a hill. "It looks like they both were in the center of the road," he said. "The point of impact was right in the center of the highway." He said Keyes apparently was trav eling south in a 1986 Mercury and . Payne, was traveling north in a 1975 Pontiac. i Robbins said both cars were severely damaged and the two men had to becut from the wreckage by rescue crews. ; Police said they did not know how fast the two men were traveling at the time of impact.
