William C. "Bill" Scully

January 8, 1973 - November 15, 2022

          Suddenly on November 15, 2022, Bill, age 49, of Stratford, NJ.  Born in Stratford, Bill graduated from Overbrook High School before enlisting in the Army National Guard serving as a Sergeant First Class (SFC) before his retirement after 20 years of service.  Bill worked as a guidance counselor at Sterling High School where he was also the head coach of both the boys and girls volleyball teams. Bill also established and coached the Challenger Baseball and Soccer leagues in Stratford. He served as a coach within Tarkill Soccer Club, Stratford Athletic Organization, Deptford Soccer Club, and Special Olympics of New Jersey where he coached soccer and bocce ball. 

           Bill is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Nancy (nee Lazzaro); his three children, Erin, Jake and Ryan; his parents, Bud and Cheryl Scully; his brother, Rick (Marlene) Scully; his sister, Kami; his maternal grandfather, William Brougham; his in-laws, Anthony and Florence Lazzaro; his brothers-in-law, Anthony (Priscilla) Lazzaro and Tom (Debbie) Lazzaro as well as his niece and nephews, Ethan, Dylan, Lorelei, Adalie, Brynlee, Ashley (Kyle) and Emma.

            Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Sunday evening from 5:00 - 9:00 PM at the Healey Funeral Home, 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights.  There will be a visitation again on Monday morning beginning at 10:00 AM at Freedom Hope Church (formerly New Covenant Community Church), 255 Edgewood Avenue, Audubon followed by his memorial service at 11:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to either BUDS (Bringing Up Downs Syndrome) at bringingupdownsyndrome.org or at KIIDS (Knowledge and Information about kids with Downs Syndrome) at www.kiids.info.
