John Markel the husband of Melissa Cason Markel, son of late Francis Markel JR and Jacqueline Markel, was born October 1964. He departed this life on Friday May 5, 2023 peacefully while traveling to Milan Italy for a family cruise. John grew up in New Jersey until his move to Jacksonville, Florida in 2014 and finally to Woodbine, Georgia in 2021 with his wife Melissa. John is survived by his children: John, Julianna, Nicholas (Nick) fiancé Michelle and Kelsey. Also his grandchildren Ryleigh and Liam. Finally his siblings: Alicia and family, Francis and family, Jackie and family, Mark and family and Larry and family as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
