Rest in Peace, Harriet

June 1, 1932  -  July 16, 2023

Harriett Elizabeth (nee Cathcart) Cianci was born June 1, 1932, to parents Robert and Eva Cathcart of Pine Hill, New Jersey.  She was raised in Pine Hill with her older brothers Robert and John “Jack” Cathcart.  Harriett and her family spent every summer in Long Beach Island, New Jersey. She loved the Jersey shore.  Harriett graduated from Lower Camden County Regional High School, Lindenwold, Class of 1950.  She married her high school sweetheart Domenick Cianci of Clementon upon his return home from the Korean Conflict in 1954.  Harriett and Domenick raised two children, Scott, and Jan, have four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  She retired from the Pine Hill School District as a Special Education Teacher’s Assistant.  In 2003, Harriett and Domenick moved to Barefoot Bay, Florida. While they enjoyed the warm weather and the tropical oasis, they never forgot their life, family, and friends in South Jersey.  In 2022, Harriett moved to Blairsville, Georgia with her granddaughter Brittni and her family until her death on July 16, 2023.  She was preceded in death by Harriett’s parents, brothers, husband, and daughter.

Harriett’s cremains will be interred with her husband Domenick at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 300 West White Horse Pike, Berlin, New Jersey on Monday, November 6, 2023, at twelve thirty in the afternoon.
