Retired school teacher and world traveler, Kathleen Gochinski, age 74, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 26, 2021, surrounded by her family and close friends who will continue to honor her legacy by living life to the fullest. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 4, 1947 to the late Walter Gochinski and Katherine Gochinski (Dicken). She was a graduate of Overbrook High School, Class of 1965, Trenton state College, Class of 1969, and received her Master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1982. Her career spanned from 1969 to 2003, teaching language arts to the children of Mt. Laurel, NJ, at the Thomas E. Harrington Middle School. Kathleen was preceded in death by her sister Annette Burcher. Kathleen is survived by her niece, Lisa Burcher of Mount Laguna, CA, nephew, Michael Burcher of Cranford NJ, great nephews Luke and Miles Burcher, and brother-in-law, Vincent Burcher of N. Cape May, NJ. She will sorely be missed by numerous friends and family. Kathleen loved life and lived it to the fullest. She had a deep appreciation for nature, wildlife, and new adventures. Among her many interests were traveling and photography. Her favorite times were spent hiking with her two great nephews, Luke and Miles Burcher, and traveling the country with her best friend, Pat Lynch. Kathleen was loving, caring and generous to all who had the good fortune to be in her full life. She was the best to all of her many friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital or a charity of your choice. Condolences may be shared with her family on her tribute wall.
