I did not know Kate very well when we were classmates, and I left Pittsburgh soon after graduating college. Several years ago, Kate was having some health challenges and she contacted me for some help. That is how I got to know her better and it meant so much to know I'd helped her in some small way. I saw her again in June of 2019, for the Allderdice Birthday Party celebration and it was so good to see Kate in person. Hearing the news of her passing had an impact and my heartfelt wishes go out to her family. So many have shared how wonderful she was. A light has definitely gone out of our class.

I was so sorry to hear this.  Kate and I were friends from the time that we were 3 or 4 years old and lived around the corner from each other at Wilkins and Negley.  My heartfelt wishes to Mike and her family.
