BREITFELD VOLKER
On September 27, 2015, Volker Breitfeld, 74, of McCandless Township and Southport, NC, beloved husband of 49 years to Mary Ann Breitfeld. Also survived by his two loving daughters, Ann Louise Breitfeld (Vittorio) Scalfi of Chester, NJ, and Julie (Robert Dwyer) Breitfeld of Arlington, VA; sister, Eva Schriever; three brothers, Hartmut, Bernhard and Dietrich Breitfeld; four grandchildren, Dante Charles Scalfi, Alessandro Charles Scalfi, Amelia Anne Dwyer and Henry Robert Dwyer. Friends received Friday 10-11 a.m. at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Highway, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Volker served as a physician in the Vietnam War. He was chairman of the Pathology Department at Passavant Hospital. He enjoyed the beach, golfing, tennis, skiing and spending time at his home in North Carolina.
