One of my best friends in high school and college years. We had some really good times along with Dobkin and Sterner. RIP Willie. Fez

I agree. I knew Willy in Lincoln and Mellon especially when we went to Kennywood Park. His passing occured so close to his birthday when we were also remembering him. Blessings to the family. 54 years of marriage is commendable!
Ronald Dobkin
Willie will always remain my oldest and dearest friend. Too many “happy days” memories to number. We’d exchange birthday wishes by phone every year. I’ll be toasting you pal this coming 1/31. Love, Dobbie.

Willie was our 4th grade teacher's favorite, even though he wasn't always the best behaved! Miss Simpson had a voice that scared me to death. Willie came to my rescue one Friday afternoon when I had been chosen to go to Isaly's to get her ice cream for the week-end...a weekly occurrence I think. In my eagerness to please 'The Voice", I forgot the exact order and was frozen (pun NOT intended) in Isaly's not knowing what to do. Willie, the idol of many of us in 4th grade was sent to find me and bring me back to school. I was mortified but forever grateful!

“Mighty Manfred” and I were reminiscing about times shared with Willie. He was a groomsman in our wedding in August of ‘59. Loved this guy.

I'll never forget Willie and me going down to the Jersey shore the summer before my senior year at Notre Dame. It was quite a blast. Rest in peace my man.
