Bill was a very quite good man. I got to know him in Navy ROTC class. He was not treated well by many people, but he was a real trooper. Almost sage-like for his age.
I got to know bill pretty well in my junior year. He was quiet, humble and whip smart. People used to call him Wolf Man because he could grow a full beard before most of us. I never called him that. Bill was one of the folks that I checked on the class list hoping for contact information. I was sad to see his name in this section. He was a wise and funny man and I'm sure he made a lot of people smile before he passed.
